Millésime 2022

William kelley, for The Wine Advocate

Caroline and Nicolas Drouhin are taking the helm at this 11,5-hectare domaine, which boasts an enviable array of prime terroirs in the Côte de Nuits, complemented by a smal négociant activity. Macerations are pretty gentle these day in some cases incorporating some whole bunches, in a mix of enameled steel, stainless steel and cement vats. Bottling occurs in February-March, after two winters on the lees, with a racking from one cellar to another shortly before the next harvest, and barrels derive from a handful of coopers, Tonnellerie Cavin prominent among them.
