Cask sample. More delicate than the Clos de Vougeot - nice wine. Lots going on here and a rewarding wine, if you can afford it. Really juicy and well balanced, if you don't mind the slightest hint of coffee.

Tank sample. Lightish crimson. Scented with dark-red fruit. Fragrant on the nose and the palate with nicely dry tannins.Peppery aftertaste tied up in the dry, but refined, tannins. (JH)

Tank sample. Mid cherry red. Ripe, sweet, scented cherry. Much fresher and livelier than the Au Closeau. Firm, butsmooth, tannins that frame the juicy, lively fruit. Persistent too. (JH)

Tank sample. Smells a little sweeter and richer than the Dix Climats. Fuller on the palate, too. Smooth, gently chewytannins. Lacks a little energy. Is that the sample? (JH)
